Rudolf Wolbers was educated in Victoria attending St John’s Catholic Primary School in Ferntree Gully and then Boronia State High School. After leaving high school Rudolf went straight into full time employment joining Glaxo Australia as a trainee accountant. He worked for Glaxo for just over 7 years during which time he held various positions as Financial, cost and management accountant before holding the position of Senior Management Accountant for the last 2 years. During this period Rudolf also completed a business degree at Swinburne University of Technology, majoring in accounting and business management.

After leaving Glaxo in 1981 and having a short stay as State Finance Manager for Farley & Lewers in the concrete and quarrying industry Rudolf joined Hamersley Iron in Western Australia. He held various senior financial and management accounting roles both in Perth and Karratha in the north west of WA. In 1988 he joined Goodman Fielder as the State Financial Controller before moving to Sydney and taking up the role of National Financial Controller for Goodman’s baking division. Continuing the move around Australia Rudolf moved to Brisbane in 1996 to take up the role of Financial Controller in Goodman Fielders Baking & Milling Division.

After 11 years with Goodman Fielder Rudolf joined Brisbane Catholic Education in the capacity of Manager – Financial Services and has held this role since June 2000.
