Stephen O’Kane has over 35 years’ experience as an educational leader in a vast range of schools and settings.
From lecturing English at Hubei University in Wuhan, China in 1991-1992 to being Principal of Thursday Island State School, Stephen has led teachers and school staff to make a difference in the lives of their students for many decades. His educational interests include school and systemic improvement, data analysis, inclusive education and leadership development.
Stephen is the Chair of the Queensland Hospital Schooling Advisory Council and is a member of the Brisbane Catholic Education Council and the St Laurence’s College Advisory Board. He has also been a member of the St Agatha’s Parish Finance Committee and is a parishioner of the Cathedral of St Stephen’s parish, Brisbane.
